A 47 year-old man, John Jester Gamoju, is currently in police net for defiling his 10 years old daughter (name withheld) at Pako Ijaniki area of Lagos state.

The survivor, who was said to have reported her father to the Ijaniki Police on Monday June 29 this year, was being sexually molested since last year.

According to the state Police Commissioner, Hakeen Odumosu, operatives from Gender Unit arrested the alleged paedophile after the daughter reported.

This is also coming as the state police arrested 40 years old Imoh Edet, for defiling his neighbour’s 11 years old daughter in Bariga.

The mother of the suspect, who reported the abuse on June 25 at 4:30pm at the Bariga station, said that Edet, a resident of Oyekainle Street, Bariga, defiled her daughter.

The mother narrated that the suspect always lured her daughter under the guise of sending her on errands.

Having arrested the suspect, he confessed to have sexually abused the minor six times.

While both suspects – aged 11 and 10 – have been taken to hospital for medical attention and forensic examination, Odumosu assured the public that the suspects would be charged to court.
