Moroccan logistics startup Colis, specializing in cross-border parcel delivery, has raised $300,000 in a pre-seed funding round aimed at strengthening its local market presence and accelerating its entry into West Africa. Founded in 2022 by Issam Darui, Colis supports individuals and businesses in sending and receiving packages between Morocco and six European countries. Since its inception, the startup has successfully delivered over 55,000 parcels.
The latest funding comes from Witamax, a Moroccan investment firm, and follows previous support from The Baobab Network, which invested $50,000 in Colis, as well as the startup’s participation in the Plug and Play Morocco accelerator. With this boost, Colis aims to enhance its coverage across Morocco’s five major regions and kickstart its expansion plans into West Africa.
“We are extremely grateful to Witamax for supporting our vision from the start. This funding allows us to broaden our geographic coverage and further improve the quality of our services,” Darui shared. “Our goal is to become a key player in logistics between Africa and Europe, offering innovative technological solutions to a sector undergoing transformation.”
Colis is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for efficient logistics solutions between Africa and Europe, a sector that is ripe for innovation and growth.
