Topping the feat achieved by the 265-metre long Liberian Container ship, Jpo Volans, the 300-metre long Singapore-owned Maerskline Stardelhorn has now become the biggest container ship to be wharfed in any Nigerian port.
The Ship called, yesterday, at the Federal Ocean Terminal (FOT), in the Onne area of Rivers State, according to the Nigerian Ports Authority.
The vessel has a cargo capacity of 9,971 Twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEUs).
With its magnitude, Nigeria is set to experience a faster delivery time of cargoes from Rivers state to other ports in the country.
