The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has uncovered, arrested and sealed an illegal petroleum products dump site in the Federal Capital Territory.
This was posted on the corps’ Facebook page and confirmed by the NSCDC Spokesperson, Olusola Odumosu, on Sunday.
According to the post, the Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad made the arrest and sealing of the illegal oil dump site.
The post revealed that items recovered include “over 54,000 litres of suspected vandalised, illegally refined and adulterated Automotive Gas Oil, one pumping machine, one generator, two surface tanks containing suspected adulterated and illegally refined AGO, two empty surface tanks, four empty trucks, one truck containing suspected vandalised, illegally refined and adulterated AGO, two drums of AGO, two different waybills, two different vehicle plates, one pump action, one Dane-gun and six cartridges.”
