No lesser than three people have died from the storey building collapse that occurred Saturday morning in the Lagos Island area of Lagos.
The building which stood at 20 Freeman Street, collapsed “at around 2:00 am,” Ibrahim Farinloye of the National Emergency Management Agency said.
He said that the building was under renovation by a property developer when it caved in.
The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor of Lagos State on New Media, Mr. Jubril Gawat, also said that a total of nine victims have been rescued, so far.
As at the moment, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) are currently searching for more victims.
