There is currently unrest in Fagba, Iju-Ishaga, Ifako-Ijaiye area of Lagos State as the Hausa and Yoruba communities engaged in a bloody clash on Friday, leaving several dead and many others injured.

The clash has also resulted in burning down of some houses and making the communities inhabitable for residents.

It was learnt that trouble ensued between both ethnic groups after some thugs intercepted a truck of cows from the northern part to Agege Lairage.

The truck was said to have rammed into the roadblock which the occupants, mainly Hausas resisted.

The situation soon snowballed into a violent clash with use of several dangerous weapons.

While residents have called on the police for help, no security agents have arrived at the bloody scene to contain the situation.

This fracas is erupting in a time when the state and the nation are seeking solutions to quelling the already existing violence and brutality.
