Hours after being banned from the streets of Lagos, and other parts of the Country for harassing citizens, men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) on Monday opened fire in Computer Village, Ikeja after an irate mob prevented them from illegal arrest.
As seen in the video on social media, the mob stampeded the men of SARS who drove a Sienna car into the market to convey the arrested person.
In the video, some market boys were screaming “No more SARS!” While the mob continued to confront the men of SARS, one of the operatives opened fire.
Despite the warning from the Inspector General of Police and the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SARS operatives have returned to the streets.
Currently, social media is on fire. While some Nigerian youths say they would begin to fight back, others suggested that SARS notorious actions could trigger war in the country.
