Stakeholders have called on more Nigerian women to embrace active politics and participate fully in the forthcoming 2023 general election in order to bring positive change.
Dr Ken Onyeali Ikpe, the non executive director, Troyka Holdings and Dr Obed Ofili, in separate interviews said they wonder why women are treating themselves with inferiority complex to the extent that they side-lined themselves from leadership roles in politicking.
Ikpe said, “Women need to take bold steps in actualisation of needed change in governance in this country.
“Women are intelligent people. One can see how they used to beat down their male counterparts when in the same school. But they somehow either because of an inferiority complex or whatever. They tend to shy away from leadership positions in politics.
“There is a need for them to embrace active politics because they show higher intelligence (IQ) in any area they find themselves in. I wonder why the same set of people that are high flyers in schools suddenly show signs of inferiority complex when they are outside the schools.”
