Residents of Ebute in Oyingbo have called on the Lagos State Government to come to their rescue as hoodlums clash shut down activities in the area for two days.
Affected areas include Willoughby by Herbert Macaulay, Market Street by Bola, Freeman by Willoughby, Cemetery by Willoughby, Redeem church junction and others.
According to a resident they break into shops overnight and stole goods worth millions of naira.
“I am tired, they stole power Motorcycles. These hoodlums and their activities is becoming unbearable,” one of the shop owner, Chinedu said.
According to some of the residents, they urged Lagos Taskforce to demolish the Ebute Metta Plank market which has been the hideouts where the street urchins meet to smoke, plan and unleash violence on their opponents and loot shops.
They said that the Taskforce are in the know of all the black spots in most places in Lagos and they should come to their aid.
