Operatives of Lagos police, Sunday, arrested a a guardian, Mrs. Rali, having chained and locked up her maid, Roseline for almost an entire day for allegedly misplacing N20,000 on Saturday July 18.

Rali, who is fondly called Iya Sunkanmi and a Togolese national, told the police she chained Roseline she misplaced N20,000.

One of the neighbours confirmed Roseline is subjected to all kinds of child labour ranging from lifting heavy generator set to fetching water throughout the day.

The resilience of advocates from the Advocate for Children and Vulnerable Person Network paid off. They had waited until the dead of the night for the perpetrator to return and produce the helpless child.

It is confirmed that the perpetrator is presently at Alakara police station. “Once again a big thank you to Area Commander Olusoji. You are well appreciated Sir for been very responsive”, the group’s Secretary and Operations Manager, Ebenezer Omejalile divulged.
