The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 23 years old Fatai Ismai popularly known as Small for terrorising Ajah area of the state.
Ismai was tagged a notorious armed robber stealing the peace of residents of Langbasa, Ajah area. He was arrested by the police with the help of some community members, when he went to attack a supermarket at Folarin Bus Stop, Ajah on November 29 this year.
The suspect, who confirmed to be a cultist according to the police, was first arrested by the police command in 2017 for a similar offence and charged to court.
He was arrested with one locally made pistol, with some cartridges, which he claimed was procured from a man (name withheld) who is currently at large.
This is also coming as the command arrested nine arsonists that set ablaze Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Secretariat on October 20 this year during the recent violent #Endsars protest in the state.
The suspects included Abdulganiyu Habeeb, 30; Adetunji Senyi, 27; Ahmed Animashahun, 28; Alowonle Lawal, 28; Taiwo Nuah, 19; and four others.
The Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, who interrogated and paraded the suspects at the command Headquarters on Monday December 7 this year ordered for thorough investigation into the cases.
He further directed that the fleeing members of the gangs be arrested for further police actions.
