In a bid to disperse protesters gathered at the Gani Fawehinmi Park in the Ojota axis of Lagos, today, operatives of the State Police Command, fired tear gas canisters at the citizens.
The protesters took to the streets demanding an end to bad governance when they were tear-gassed by the security operatives.
The protest is ongoing in other parts of the country, including Abuja, Kwara and Ondo where Nigerians are on the streets, bearing placards calling out the government’s shortcomings in solidarity.
While the protest does not have a specific leader, it is also supported by several civil society groups across the country.
