BREAKING: Sanwo-Olu Places Indefinite Ban on Okada in 6 LGs

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has banned the operations of commercial motorcycles otherwise known as Okada, in six Local Governments.

The governor announced that the ban is “indefinite and total”.

Sanwo-Olu asked the Lagos Police Command and other security agencies to enforce the ban.

The six local governments listed by the governor are Ikeja, Surulere, Eti-Osa, Lagos Mainland, Lagos Island, and Apapa.

A particular engineer we gathered was killed by some Okada riders operating at Admiralty Way in Lekki Lagos on Sunday, May 15. The notice as circulated online read thus:
