LASU Mourns As Former VC, Hussein Passes On

A former Vice Chancellor of the Lagos State University, Prof. Lateef Akanni Hussein, is dead.

The 6th Substantive VC of the University died on Sunday, 31st July 2022 aged 75 after a brief illness.

Hussein pioneered the IT revolution at the Lagos State University making the Varsity the first to have online results, allow students to fill course form online as well as created an online relationship between the management and students.

The seasoned administrator served between 2005 and 2011.
