Nigeria Striker and Genk of Belgium Forward have been reported to have tested positive to COVID-19. The 26 year old striker was the only player with his result returning positive during a testing conducted for players in preparation for pre-season activities at the Luminous Arena base of the Belgium top flight side Club Genk.
He has since been taken into isolation where he will be getting the best of care and adhering strictly to all the COVID-19 safety procedures. Onachu who has 6 caps for the Super Eagles, made his debut in the friendly match against Egypt after a call up by the Super Eagles Head Coach Gerhnot Rohr in March of 2019. Onachu was also part of the bronze medal winning Super Eagles squad to the last African Cup of Nations last year in Egypt.
