Coach Jose Peseiro has said the Super Eagles are ready to take on the Lions of Cameroon on Saturday in the AFCON Round of 16.

Nigeria pipped Guinea Bissau 1-0 to finish runners-up behind Equatorial Guinea, who also recorded seven points but enjoyed a better goals’ difference.

The Super Eagles will Saturday night in Abidjan face Cameroon, who dramatically emerged the runners-up in Group C.

However, Peseiro said he does not have any fear on the next Super Eagles opponent.

“We’re ready for meet any team,” he said in a post-match interview.

He said he would have been happier had his team won Group A to meet one of the third best losers in the knockout round.

“I am not 100% happy because we deserved to finish top of the group,” he said.

“We deserved to beat Equatorial Guinea and then we would have had nine points, But it was not an easy match vs Guinea Bissau. The other team tried to get their first victory in the competition, We created the chances to win by more than a goal.”
