Two planes, a Middle East Airline Airbus A330-243 and a Boeing 777 airplane operated by Turkish Airlines, Wednesday, had a ground collision at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
The incident was said to have occurred when the Middle East airbus with registration number OD-MEA was attempting to park but instead rammed into the Turkish cargo flight with registration number TC-LJC trying to depart.
The Regional Manager, South West, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs. Victoria Shin-Abah, who confirmed the incident, said the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has launched investigation into the incident between the planes which since been parked.
