Lagos State has recorded two hundred and sixteen (216) cases out of five hundred and seventy-three (573) new cases of coronavirus in the country. This brings the state back on top of the list after recording about four times less than the figure recorded today last night.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this disclosure through its official twitter handle on Monday night.
It stated that the total number of infections recorded in Nigeria is now 16658 with 5349 discharged persons and 424 deaths respectively.
Today, 15th June 2020, a total of 573 new confirmed cases and 17 deaths were recorded nationwide.
Data from the NCDC showed that the cases were spread across 19 states and the FCT, with Lagos accounting for the highest number of infections for the day with 216 cases.
