Following the Lekki Tollgate massacre of Tuesday night, unconfirmed reports have it that angry mob on Wednesday lynched terror on several properties belonging to the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Bola Tinubu.
Among the buildings on fire as seen in some footage are: Sanwo-Olu’s mother’s house at Surulere; BRT buses at Oyingbo; TVC station; Iga Idugaran, the official palace of the Oba of Lagos on the Island; City Mall; and Adekunle police station.
The Nigerian Ports Authority Complex at the Marina area of Lagos has also been confirmed to be set ablaze. While the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, multiple indicators point to hoodlums who have also been carrying out concerted arsons across public properties in the state, today.
As seen in videos making rounds on social media, officers attached to Adekunle Station are shooting live rounds at citizens, as killings and maiming continue in Mushin area of the state this morning.
The DG/CEO, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said one of their paramedic interns, Morinola Marian Omobukola, was shot while on duty at 4pm on Tuesday.”
He said, “She has been taken to the Trauma Centre at the Toll Gate for treatment.”
