Following the detention of Seun Kuti after an alleged assault on a Policeman at Third Mainland bridge last Saturday, his brother, Afrobeat musician, Femi Kuti said the family are working hard to achieve a favourable outcome.

Femi spoke out on his brother Seun’s detention during a concert in France on Friday night.

He stated that the family have one of the best lawyers.

In the video that went viral on Saturday, he said, “Just before we embarked on this tour, my brother, Seun, got arrested. Unfortunately I can’t talk about it because it’s in the court, but I want you all to know that we have one of the best lawyers.

“The family is solidly behind him and we do hope for a positive result at the end of the day.”

Seun was detained on Monday at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, popularly known as Panti over an alleged assault on a police officer in a viral video.

The musician was accompanied by a lawyer, Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika (SAN).
