The Federal Government has mandated all network providers to cancel the N20 naira charge for the retrieval of the National Identification Number (NIN).
Nigeria’s Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami gave the order in a statement issued, on Friday.
Recall that the Federal Government ordered all telecoms service providers to demand the National Identification Numbers (NIN) from subscribers. Subscribers who fail to provide theirs are to be blocked from using their SIM cards, in January 2021.
