The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has authorised the construction of Ogudu-Ojota link roads in the Kosefe area of the state.
It kick-started mainly: the ogudu-Alapere Link Road and Otunba Toyin Abass Street road, Ogudu, in Kosefe Local Government Area of the state.
It can be recalled that the state government, three weeks ago, engaged stakeholders for the commencement of three other equally important road projects in the Kosofe are, namely: Demurin, Church and Agidi Streets, to bypass the Ketu/Mile12-Ikorodu Road, to ease traffic issues in the area.
The Ogudu- Alapere Link Road is expected to provide relief to motorists who are usually stuck in the gridlock at Ogudu bus stop along the Third Axial Road, while the Ogudu Roundabout end of the Ojota-Ogudu Road.
Likewise, the construction of the Otunba Toyin Abass Street Road will complement the proposed link road and improve the flow of traffic at Ogudu roundabout and its surroundings.
The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Idris Salako, said that the ongoing road projects across the state are in unison with the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda of the city’s government, especially the Transportation and Traffic Management (T) pillar.
