Operatives of the Lagos State Police attached to Alakuko Station have restored safety in the community following the arrest of four suspected armed robbers on Tuesday November 24 this year.
The suspects, who were arrested around 12am, are: Suleiman Babajide, 26; Mustapha Michael, 25; Daniel Gideon, 23; and Olalekan Adesina, 26.
In a media release issued on Wednesday, Police Spokesman for Lagos, SP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the suspects had been terrorising and dispossessing residents of the community.
The areas in the community are: AMJE Bus Stop, Ajegunle, Masalasi, and Dalemo in Alakuko Area of Lagos State, where the boys dispossessed them of their belongings.
However, with the help of members of some communities they were nabbed. And one locally-made pistol with four life cartridges were recovered from them.
As stated in the release, the CP has ordered that the suspects be transferred to the State CID, Panti Yaba for thorough investigation.
Odumosu also charged other police stations and operatives in the command to make Lagos uncomfortable for criminals and miscreants to operate particularly during the ember months.
