In line with directives of the Lagos State Government on social distancing, use of nose masks and ban on commercial motorcycles as measures to curtail spread of coronavirus, men of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences impounded 78 commercial motorcycles in Lekki.
The vehicles were said to have engaged in illegal activities in areas like Onipanu, Adekunle and Igbo-efon by Jakande area of Lekki.
The Chairman CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, who confirmed the development, said the Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu led administration is doing everything possible to flatten the curve of the pandemic in the state.
He further implored citizens to adhere strictly to all the safety precautions issued, such as maintaining social distancing and use of nose masks as directed by the government.
