The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) boss, Amaju Melvin Pinnick, has in a statement made on the official Twitter handle of the NFF, given assurances that a new Technical crew would be named for the vacant head coach and coaching crew position for the Super Falcons of Nigeria and all the vacant age grade teams under its federation as extensive consultations and consideration is been made as to land the right people for the available positions.
Pinnick also touched on the vacant Technical Director position and said that an appointment would be made soon and would be announced as soon as its concluded.
A private recruiting firm, Phillips Consulting have been saddled with the responsibility of helping the country land a new Super Falcons head coach and that the recruitment process is on already and a coach would be named soon, and that applies for all the vacant National age cadre teams.
The NFF boss also mentioned the recent plans for development of the domestic leagues and that a new Chief Executive Officer for the League Management Company has been appointed and that an announcement would be made as soon as possible as the League Management Company recently signed a massive deal with a reputable unnamed organisation that should improve the fortunes of the league teams and adequately empower the League for a better output.
Pinnick also informed that the new Nike kit for our National teams would be officially unveiled soon and he expressed his joy at how much he loved the new beautiful designs and that he could not wait to see our players adorn them and he assured that the World would get thrilled by them when the kits finally get launched.
He also took time out to appreciate the effort of the NFF Executive committees for the work they have been putting in behind the scenes and he lauded the support he has been getting from President Muhammadu Buhari, Minister of Sports, Dare Sunday Dare, and Ministry of Youth and Sport Development, also appreciated the support from the both Sport Committees in the National Assembly.
Finally, he also appreciated the many sponsors with special mention for AIITO and he praised the work been put in by the health workers to curtail the spread of the dreaded COVID-19 virus.
His final statement was “The dream is to conquer Africa at the next Nations Cup and qualify for the World Cup in 2022.”
