Following the arrest of 52-year-old General Overseer of New Life Church of God and kingpin of a kidnapping gang, Mr. Adetokunbo Adenopo and his three accomplices in Sagamu area of Lagos on Sunday for abducting a dispatch rider, Jonathan Ekpo, 35, a neigbour has taken to social media to escalate his alleged criminal business over the years.
The lady, with Twitter handle Big Fish Gee, narrated first-hand details of how Adenopo has been allegedly using his underground facility for his human trafficking and organs-selling business.
Adenopo, however, ran out of luck after his last victim, Ekpo, escaped from his den 10 days after his abduction, as stated by the lady.
She narrated, “This pastor was arrested close to my parents’ and he is honestly a serial killer. This man has been killing people as far back as 2014 with an underground hole in his house and bodies buried in his compound.”
She continued, “He kidnaps people and asks for a ransom and when they can’t pay, they harvest and sell the organs.”
“All he feeds them is Soda, beans and sometimes water in an underground hole without ventilation. By definition he’s a serial killer and he has a huge fenced compound where these things have been happening as far back as 2014 and no one could imagine it.
Speaking Big Fish Gee acknowledged that the alleged kidnapper was unsuspecting, “you know as a pastor and he used to own the first school in the community. Apparently when he makes his ransom calls or whatever he doesn’t do it at his address , he leaves home which made it hard for the police to find his exact address.”
However, he met his waterloo when police officers from Abuja disguised as ‘mad people’ in the area. “That was how they were able to trail him and investigate and finally apprehend him”.
According to her tweets, some of the exhibits found at the den of the suspects are: women’s wigs; men’s sunglasses were found in his compound with about 10 graves where he buried people and planted flowers over the graves as a cover-up; ammunition, and bones.
She also claimed, as confirmed to The Lagos Today, that three people were rescued from the claws of the kidnappers – “They were almost dead to be honest n the underground hole”.
“It was the dispatch rider that was the last victim who helped the police find him. He asked for N20m ransom. ‘Nigga’ (man), does he look like someone that can afford that? He escaped one way or another after 10 days in captivity in the hole. He’s linked to another death as far as 2017,” she highlighted.
Meanwhile, Adenopo was arrested in company with three other members of his criminal gang. Chigozie Williams, 22, a native of Umuahia North, Abia State; Ugoji Linus, 30, a native of Ezinifite in Imo State; and Emmanuel Chris Ani, 27, a native of Aniri in Enugu State.
