The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has approved the nomination of the Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, as the chairman of a seven-person electoral committee ahead of the Lagos State Congress scheduled to be held on Sunday, in Ikeja.
The Party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, disclosed this in a statement he signed on Friday titled, ‘PDP sets up Lagos State congress electoral committee’.
The members of the Committee include Douye Diri (Chairman), Olusola Obada, Maj. Gen. Sarkin Bello (retd.), Awwal Tukur, Peter Atofarati, Peter Orji, and Gabriel Onyeweife (Secretary).
“All aspirants, leaders and critical stakeholders of our Party in Lagos State are to take note,” the statement read in part.
