A three-storey school building known as Excel College has collapsed in the Ejigbo area of Lagos state.
It was gathered that the incident that occurred at No 15, Ansarudeen Street, Ile-Epo bus-stop happened at about 8.15 am.
Eyewitness said that the building had shown signs of distress and the school was planning to renovate/refortify the structure before the collapse.
It was gathered that the building had two wings conjoined. Prior to the collapse, one of the wings had visible cracks on the walls, pillars, and decking.
The Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu confirmed the incident.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the collapse and cost of damages.
