…Total infections in the country exceed 28,000
Lagos State has recorded one hundred and ninety-nine (199) cases out of five hundred and forty-four (544) new cases of Coronavirus infections in the country.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this disclosure through its official twitter handle on Sunday night.
It stated that the total number of confirmed coronavirus infections recorded in Nigeria is now 28,711 with 11,665 discharged persons and 645 deaths respectively.
On the 5th of July, 2020, 544 new confirmed cases and 11 deaths were recorded across the country.
The new cases were recorded from 18 states and the FCT, with Lagos State accounting for the highest number of infections for the day with 199 cases, followed by Ebonyi State- 65 cases.
