British Passports as Powerful as Irish Passports, Despite Brexit Woes

British and Irish passports are as powerful as each other – Thats according to a recent data survey.

The Henley Passport Index has released its quarterly data, which shows the Irish passport has dropped one place into 6th, joining with its UK counterparts. The Henley Passport Index assesses passport ranks by calculating global mobility in regards to visa-free travel.

Both British and Irish passport holders can enter 187 countries visa-free; They share a space with both France and Portugal.

Topping the list is Japan with passport holders able to explore 193 countries visa-free, with asian neighbours Singapore and South Korea placing in second.

European destinations such as Germany and Spain dominate rankings from third through to seventh. Remaining bottom of the list is Afghanistan, with a total entry of 27 countries permitted without visas.
