Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism), officially announces its partnership with Emaar Group, providers of premium leisure and entertainment choices to present the first ever Emaar Project- a consumer competition.
The project which is intended to improve consumer experience and visitation in Dubai, will provide accommodation/entertainment for lucky winners over the next 12 months. Each month a winner will be selected for a 5-night stay at an Emaar Hotel 1br apartment, and each week a winner will be selected for a 5-night stay in a Deluxe room at an Emaar hotel.
The competition will require participants to download the U By Emaar app and follow visitdubai.af on Instagram. Also, Emaar will provide Dubai Tourism team with list of app followers each week for a random winner selection.
A total of 64 winners will emerge over 12 months and will be announced each week on the DTCM Instagram platform, as well as the Emaar official platform. All winners also enjoy complimentary access to two of the city’s most popular attractions.
Speaking on the project, Salim Dahman, Head of Campaigns & 360 Market lead at Dubai Tourism said: “Emaar Group and DTCM have been successful partners for a long time and this campaign is another great effort from both entities in the African market. COVID-19 has surely changed travel and tourism, but our focus going forward is to show that Dubai is a safe and secure destination in what is called the ‘new normal’. Africa has been an important market in the past and we are very much looking forward to welcoming travelers again in the upcoming weeks and months.”
The lucky winners of this campaign get to travel to a vibrant city that has opened for international tourism on 7 July already. Since then, no efforts were spared to ensure every traveler’s safety and security during the stay in Dubai. The emirate has not only received the Safe Travels stamp by WTTC, but also launched its own initiative Dubai Assured to make sure that all stakeholders in the travel industry guarantee highest safety standards. With the
gradual reopening of most sectors in Dubai, the city has taken all measures possible to reactivate international tourism.
Commenting on this campaign, Director of Africa at Dubai Tourism said: “We are proud to launch this campaign in Africa and grateful to see that international travel is resuming. This is a positive sign for international tourism and a successful effort from both destinations. The travel trade has been waiting a long time for this moment to come and now we are all excited to welcome African visitors to Dubai.”
Dubai Tourism continues to solidify its relationship with Nigeria with quantifiable efforts geared towards increasing the city’s ever-evolving tourism presence proposition to Nigerians and tourism enthusiasts.
