While some youths are currently at the State House, Alausa Ikeja Thursday night protesting peacefully against SARS, a female protester has been allegedly shot at in the face, as she labours for breath.
While she sat on the floor with blood dripping down the grievous gunshot injury, bystanders make efforts to get medics as seen in a trending video online.
A twitter user, Chief Ojukwu decried, “Did we not say you can’t change police? There is something that makes the bile in them burn whenever they see young people. This is the second youth they have shot today at Ikeja.”
Meanwhile, the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, had debunked claims of violence against the protesters, stressing that it is their democratic rights.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu has addressed them calmly. We are here at the venue,” he said.
