…Hilda Baci breaks another record of best performing tweet of all time with 25million tweets
Guinness World Record, GWR has said Nigerian chef, Dammy did not submit an application before attempting to break her compatriot, Hilda Baci’s cooking record.
Ekiti-based Chef Dammy took up cooking on Friday June 9, with the organisers saying she would cook for 120 hours.
Chef Hilda Baci also endorsed Chef Dammy’s cook-a-thon via her Twitter handle.
However, Guinness World Record did not comment on Chef Dammy’s attempt throughout the duration of her cooking.
The record body has revealed why they were silent on Dammy’s attempt. GWR insisted they didn’t receive an application from Chef Dammy.
“We have not received an application for this attempt. Applications can be made via the Guinness World Records website for our records management team to review,” Guinness World Record said.
“Once an application is accepted, the record claimant receives a set of detailed guidelines specific to that record category that must be adhered to.
“This also details a list of evidence that must be submitted for our team to verify the record. Guinness World Records maintains a rigorous review process to maintain the integrity of each Guinness World Records title.”
Baci breaks another record in GWR
Hilda Baci, the Nigerian Jollof Queen, who recently achieved a new Guinness World Records (GWR) for the longest cook-a-thon, has “broken” yet another record of the GWR.
On Thursday (today), the GWR reposted their Monday tweet where they confirmed Hilda as the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon, saying it was its “best performing tweet of all time.”
“Yeah, so this is our best performing tweet of all time with nearly 25 million news feeds reached,” the GWR wrote on the tweet.
The GWR pinned the tweet on its handle.
The GWR, had in a post on its official website on Tuesday, revealed that its website crashed for two days due to immense volume of traffic caused by Hilda’s legion of loyal fans.
“Hilda’s record attempt took the world of social media by storm, with millions in Nigeria and beyond following her progress via an Instagram live stream,” the GWR noted in the post where it reported Hilda’s award for the world’s longest cooking marathon.
“Hilda’s cook-a-thon was in fact so popular that our website crashed for two days due to the immense volume of traffic we received from her legion of loyal fans,” it said.Follow us on social media
