Lagos seals buildings in Banana Island, Bourdillion

Fifteen buildings located in Banana Island, Bourdillion and Onikoyi have been sealed by the Lagos State Government over lack of planning permits.

This is contained in a twitter post made by the state government on Wednesday.

According to the state Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Idris Salaka, he admonished builders to desist from commencing construction without first obtaining a Planning Permit from the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority.

Salako stressed that every developer must also approach the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) for stage certification of their projects to ensure that their buildings are safe, complete and habitable, adding that anything short of this will be illegal and unacceptable.
