A yet-to-be identified 36-year-old man is currently at large after he was alleged to have attempted to sodomise a 13-year-old boy (name withheld) in Ijegun, Ikotun area of Lagos State.
Although the incident occurred on Sunday September 6 this year, the survivor let it out to his mother on Saturday September 12 this year.
The survivor said the man had caressed his private part and buttocks until he escaped by chance.
According to the survivor’s father, Mr. Masada a female neighbour had sent his son to go buy her a portion of rat poison from the shop of the perpetrator’s sister in-law.
He continued that his son got to the shop and met the alleged sodomizer instead of the seller.
The man was said to have complained of back ache, hence, asked the survivor to massage his back despite the boy’s initial decline.
“Immediately, the man started telling my son stories about Sodom and Gomorrah. Suddenly, my son said the adult started touching his penis and massaging his buttocks while he was equally recording the act with his phone,” the father bemoaned.
Fortunately, the teenager was said to have escaped quickly back home. Days later, he confided in his mother.
The father, however, when he heard went to FSU Ikotun to file a case of sexual assault.
He decried that they took the child’s statement under durex. He, hence, called social workers, the Advocates for Children and Vulnerable Persons Network (ACVPN).
The ACVPN is currently on the tail of the alleged paedophile to ensure he gets arrested.
