Two people have been killed and three others injured after a truck laden with a 20-foot-container fell on a commercial bus offloading passengers under Ilasamaja bridge on Oshodi-Apapa Expressway on Sunday.
The truck, with registration number SGM 715 XA, was said to have suddenly fell on the bus, which was at the junction discharging passengers.
Speaking, the General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, who confirmed the tragic incident, said two passengers and the bus driver were rescued with injuries.
While he noted that the three injured people were immediately rushed to the Isolo General Hospital, the GM said three passengers escaped unhurt.
Oke-Osanyintolu also added that the bodies of the yet-to-be identified victims have been deposited at the Isolo General Hospital mortuary.
